Tasty 3D
To reconnect with creativity after burnout by focusing on personal passions and learning UV mapping and painting techniques for 3D models, creating work that felt hand-drawn and free from the polished look of traditional 3D.
Objective
This process led to the development of a distinctive non-photorealistic 3D style inspired by a love of food, humour, and playful storytelling, which became in my signature style.
Outcome
Pizza night
Sourdough pizza Fridays are a must in the Williamson family household.
Christmas, Monopoly and Quality Street
Sitting down to a game of Monopoly, munching Quality Street chocolates enjoying the festive season.
Chicken and Waffles
This was drawing was inspired by Sarah Haftorson’s illustration chicken and waffles.
Bangers and mash
You can’t go wrong with a sausage and mashed potatoes swimming in a pool of gravy! My kids love it and so do I.
Smoothie
Each morning my wife and I opt out of the cereal and toast in favour of a green smoothie to start the day.
Movie Night
Movie night has always been a big part of my life. Before I was old enough to go clubbing, cinema was the best option.
When my wife and I used to date and now at home, Friday nights with the family.
Burger Night
Friday nights aren’t just movie night, but they are burger or pizza night. Always homemade and hugely requested by the kids.
Sourdough
A dear friend taught me to make sourdough bread long before covid lockdown made it popular.
They are so expensive to buy! Why go to the bakery when you can rock fresh bread weekly?!
Biltong
There is no snack like biltong on the planet! My kids eat through it like piranhas.
I love making it as it’s so much healthier and it’s a guilt free protein boost. Raising the SA flag in the UK.
Coffee and Pastry
Who doesn’t love a good coffee and pastry? Finding a good coffee spot was a fun task, navigating from contract to contract in London, when I wasn’t working remote. Now I enjoy a great cup from my Sage Barista Pro Espresso Machine at home.
