This was an interesting year. Word got out that my 3D skills were becoming more prominent, and I was referred directly to Rus Yusupov, co-founder of Vine,
to spend three months creating animations for his wildly popular gameshow HQ Trivia.
This gave me the opportunity to develop a new approach to 3D animation, one that looked cinematic yet allowed for fast turnaround.

At the same time, I had retrained through illustration courses, which was reflected in a range of student and self-initiated projects in my portfolio.
That experience also led to my first professional illustration brief: a project for James May of Top Gear.
He was developing a driving test app that required an illustration style that captured his sense of humor.

That same year, I created my first music video for the premiere of the song River Dance by Like Mikes.
